She married Fenton C. Watkins June 18,1941 in North Dakota. She moved to Milwaukie, Oregon with her family in 1951. She has been a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church since 1951. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m inside St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Milwaukie. The Funeral Mass for Florence will follow at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Concluding Services and Burial will be at Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. She is lovingly survived by 2 daughters and 2 sons: Sister Rita Watkins of Beaverton,OR, John Watkins of Snohomish,WA, Marlys Jones of Mt. Angel,OR, James Watkins of Clackamas, OR. She is also survived by 2 sisters, 3 brothers,6 grandchildren,5 great grandchildren, and many other family and friends. Arrangements entrusted to Peake Funeral Chapel in Milwaukie, Oregon.
